Wash your hair the right way!

Something as basic as washing hair can also play a major role in achieving and maintaining good, lustrous, healthy hair. Most famous hairdressers recommend a five-minute wash three to four times a week, but most us do not spend more than a minute in washing our hair. Healthy hair requires proper maintenance and hygiene. Although hair type differs from person to person, if you try to follow these simple steps, the day when you too shall have beautiful hair is not too far.

  • Before you get into the shower, brush your hair, as this reduces breakage and stimulates blood circulation in the scalp.
  • Now wet your hair in the shower. Once this is done, take some shampoo for hair growth on your hand (depending upon the length of your hair) and spread it by rubbing both palms together. Start lathering hair at the roots, and slowly, work your way downwards.
  • Once you feel that your hair is fully lathered, start giving your scalp a good two-minute, gentle massage. Use your fingertips and massage in circular motions, lifting or gently pulling your hair from the roots. Wet your hands with water and continue the massage.
  • It’s time to rinse your hair. The aforementioned massage has freed the entire greasy residue that has accumulated in your hair due to pollution and weather changes. Strictly use lukewarm water to rinse your hair. Continue the process till you actually hear a squeaky sound when you move your fingers against your hair.
  • Once your hair has been thoroughly rinsed, you can now apply a conditioner from the mid-length of your hair to the ends. This helps to hydrate damaged and dry ends and also detangle the tangled hair. Squeeze out excessive water from your hair and apply a coin-size amount of conditioner. Leave the conditioner in for around 2 minutes and wash off. Make sure you wash off the conditioner thoroughly. Rinse your hair with cool water, as this helps to seal the cuticles.
  • Towel drying is the most appropriate way to dry your hair. But in this case too you need to make sure not to rub your hair with a towel, as this causes damage, making your hair look dull. Gently squeeze out the excess moisture with a towel and then let your hair air dry.
  • Never use a brush when you hair is still wet. You can use a wide comb to gently smooth your hair, though.
Good hair care begins with a good hair wash, so make sure you make the right beginning because a good beginning is half the battle won. For more information please visit us :http://www.nanogenindia.com/
